Julia Richter played “Effi Briest” at the German National Theatre in Weimar, “Sabina Spielrein“ in “Die Methode“ at Ernst Deutsch Theater and won the Hersfeld Award for her title role in “Romeo and Juliette“. Her most prominent television work includes roles in “Tatort” or “Commissario Brunetti”. Richter had leading roles in the feature films “Julies Geist“ and “Sass“. She can currently be seen in the short film “Die große Werkstatt“, and alongside Lena Stolze, Karoline Teska and Ludwig Trepte in “Ein Teil von mir“ (directed by Christoph Röhl).
Bettina Buchler was born in 1964. While studying comparative literature she discovered her passion for film and became a voluntary film inspector for the FSK, Wiesbaden, watching more than 1,000 films in five years. She was General Manager of SPIO (Head Organisation of the Movie Industry) for three years and founded two innovative film festivals, Tatort Eifel and Fernsehkrimi-Festival. In March, 2008 Buchler became Director of FBW (film evaluation office) in Wiesbaden, responsible for awarding outstanding films with positive critical ratings.
Daniel Bickermann studied film theory, drama and German in Erlangen. During an internship as a screenplay consultant at a publishing house in Frankfurt am Main, he published books about Wim Wenders and Edgar Reitz. In addition to Bickermann’s current position as editorial page editor at the film magazine “Schnitt” in Cologne, he also works as a translator, publicist and freelance film journalist.
