Teresina Moscatiello is Italian and grew up in Saarland, South-West Germany. After studying literature at the Sorbonne in Paris and theatre, film and television in Bochum, Moscatiello studied film direction and graduated from the Berlin film and television academy, dffb. Her documentary, “Civilians on the Battlefield“, was given a cinema release in 2007 and screened at numerous international festivals. Moscatiello is co-founder of Sinafilm Produktion und Verleih GmbH, which primarily concentrates on the development, production and distribution of challenging documentaries.
Dr. Gabriele Weyand studied film, American studies and Business studies in Mainz, obtaining her doctorate in film. She became editor at ZDFdokukanal in 2001 and was also one of the founding members of the documentary season at FILMZ – Festival des deutschen Kinos.
Christopher Buchholz was born in Los Angeles. After attending schools in the U.S, England and France where he finally graduated, he decided to become an actor. He received a best actor prize in Italy for his first movie as the Pope assassin Ali Agca in "Attempt on the Pope". He has since worked as a lead actor with directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Peter Yates, Claire Denis, Pierre Schoendorfer, Mickael Holstom or Alessandro Colizzi. Christopher also directed plays and short movies such as "Amours de Russie", "Happy Birthday", "Bad Boys', “Garden" as well as the documentary film “Horst Buchholz - mein Papa”.
Ciro Cappellari has been active as a film director, camera man and screenwriter since 1989. His most prominent work includes “Sin Querer -Time of the Flamingos” (Sundance Cinema 100 Award, among others) and “Hijo del Río - Son of the River” (Best Film at the Festival Latino di Trieste, Italy). For his documentary about the musician Abdullah Ibrahim, “A Struggle for Love”, Cappellari received the Grimme Award 2005, for screenplay, direction and cinematography.

Alessandro De Filippo lives in Catania. He works as a film critic and specializes in audiovisual media. He teaches Cinematographic Technique at the University of Catania. He has been member of the Cane CapoVolto group since 1995.
